So we did it. Just the boys and I made the trip to Oklahoma to see Aunt Meghan and Uncle's Jeff's precious new arrival. Sure, we had a little car drama and the trip may have taken us 10 hours instead of 8. But it was well worth it when we arrived in Edmond to the always welcoming and loving arms of Maw Maw and Paw Paw. I couldn't wait to meet the much awaited little girl, Aubrey Danielle Kegebein. Who, being only a few hours old, was thrilled to meet her Aunt Julie. She is truly beautiful and Meghan and Jeff are already amazing parents. It gave my heart a strange pang to see our "baby Carter" become the "big kid" and the oldest cousin, but it was sweet to see him so excited about baby Aubrey. I know Carter, Caleb, and Aubrey will be great friends before we know it. And, this bend in the road gives me a thrill knowing that there are so many memories to be made as we travel ahead. Praise God for babies, which seem to remind us all of why we are here and of the many blessings this life brings!
